Beta Event 27-30

Rumour has spread that GW2 is the most awesome game in the universe probably, so the servers are overloaded :p

I'm now playing the game on Queensdale... Did the intro via Whiteside Ridge though.

But jesus christ it's well made, really enjoying the graphics and music but i'll need some time to adjust to the controls xD

I really want to see Lion's arc before the beta has ended

I managed to play at Sharon's long enough to discover that most likely the pm system isn't very stable (or T just ignores my pms =P =P)

But I got to play quite a bit, enough to dsecide that Mesmer is absolutely the class for me! I can't even stand the other classes after playing mez lol.. Lazor beams and chaos storms..

Gunna update my tips to reflect my experience now..

My computer freaks out with GW2 unfortunately and I'm pretty sure its my crappy internet connection.. Thank god I'm moving out in roughly 2 months yay!!

Huge amounts of people are demanding a refund because Anet has been moreorless completely silent through the beta, except for mostly copy paste work. Particularly when it comes to unsolved errors, but personally I can't see them giving a better answer if they haven't solved it yet but whatever.. They seem to think the error 9 is an issue with cdcodes but I think anyone who has played at different times can say that its obviously an issue with server overload. Before 10, I never play in a mirror. And I never get a error 9. After 20:00, 21:00 ish I can only play in mirrors, and the mirror numbers run up into the fifties at least from what I've seen. And thats when I start getting error 9 and at a certain point I'm unable to get in anymore because of it.

I posted my thoughts about it, maybe they're realize that having over fifty mirrors is probably whats messing it up

I liked playing this beta, except for a few things of course, but I suppose such trivial things will be better when the game actually releases.

Warrior: Nice class, Fun to play, got the feeling its slightly underpowered, hard to control and get into the right places. Would take: Sword + Axe / Axe + Axe, You could best take a ranged weapon (Gun/Longbow) or a Hammer as a secondary kit.
Elementalist: Fun, when you get the hang of it, pretty damn awesomely kills things then.
Staff obviously the nicest, Metoer shower =3.
Mesmer: Fun indeed, Greatsword and Staff I like best, something I will definitely play for a change. However I also think Swords could be a possibility.
Other classes: Did not really play them.

Classes I will definitely play: Warrior, Mesmer, Guardian, Elementalist.
Classes I will most likely not play: Engineer, Thief, Necromancer, Ranger.

Races: I've also tried all the races, Charr and Norn I think are a bit of a let down, I don't like their story lines.

Crafting & gathering: Crafting is fun, gathering should be changed, I don't like the whole idea of getting new pickaxes when I run out of pickaxes and I do however find it logical that you need a better pickaxe for a better Ore.

PvP: Meh Finishing is a bit of a bummer if you ask me, very often I do all the work and some1 comes and finishes the enemy off, so that it seems they get the kill, Something should be done about that

Overall: Have enjoyed it alot, sometimes they're really funny and I really like the whole customisable storyline. The looks of everything and the music is awesome. Obviously need larger servers and some other upgrades, but I think this beta test will of course only give them new insights into how to improve and clearly that their hardware needs a boost! =D

My conclusion, Elementalist is my class, definitely and I think Mesmer will be the class to play when I am bored with elementalist ^^

otherwise, I only had trouble logging in friday night and saturday/sunday nightish and of course the dam party system -.- also seemed like the chat system had loads of bugs, seeing that I couldn't pm from time to time, couldn't talk in local from time to time etc.. but thats what betas are for (A)

True, Remember how I couldn't use party chat like for the entire sunday? XD

I had to admit, sunday was a lot better considering logging in etc. But saturday en friday were like, hell XD

I really enjoyed the beta, they better host one after my exams soon

lol, I have been depressed about the idea that the game might not come out till december... and that I have to wait for my collectibles till then too... T_T give us more beta weekends D= I wanna try out all classes before real game starts.. xD

long story short, someone who helped us walking the dogs twice a week while I am at school went crazy and said that one of the two dogs was too fat to walk normally and that she (bibi ) never would have hope of a fun life again... (which on a side note is in not a fucking single way true, she is just obsessed with this diea that every dog needs to walk 100km a day, otherwise they are not "happy") fucking want to shoot her face off but oh well, shit happens, she might lose her internet connection coming days once in a while but nothing much otherwise
