Hey Guys,

Just wondering about your opinion on the microtransaction system NCsoft is going to implant as I think it is not too bad to be able to convert gold into gems, so you can buy exclusive stuff, or the other way around, but it seems people think it will ruin the entire game O.O crazy if you ask me that an entire game would be ruined by just that... I mean, in the end all armor is the same, all weapons are the same, only difference being what bonus stat you choose, no way to become overpowered by paying RL money as far as I can see (and noticed when I played... since they tested the microtransactions during my beta)

Anyone else having opinions? Smile

Greetz,

Read up before asking that next time xD

The idea is that you can spend money to get gems, which is an extra currency to buy exclusive items in a cash shop. But what people then complain about is that this game will become a pay2win game but the items you can buy ingame will be items like extra mini pets, appearance items, exp boost and insta repair items and as an extra feature to prevent gold sellers from coming you can trade gems to gold and vice versa.

That anwers your question? And then what is your opinion on it?

Doesn't seem like a problem to me, you can get gems with gold so not like anyone can't get the special items or something without paying :\
And if your like ah so what spend a few euro's that's fine Smile

Its being compared to the plex system in EVE, which wasn't bad at all. The key difference is that gems are going to be a lot less common, due to plexes being mandatory in EVE (Plex = 30days game time). However I love this system for one reason. I can swap my none-cash in a game for some rich kids real cash to gain the things I want in the store.

Trick is to buy up gems asap in the beginning because the price will rise as time goes on. Stock pile um for later cool updates with nice skins or sumthin. Character slots never hurt either.
